Yes. Trip planning begins with a professional planning fee based on the type and complexity of your trip. This allows me to provide thoughtful, customized service and ensures dedicated time and attention throughout the planning process. This fee is not required until after your free consultation.
I do understand that family emergencies arise, and life happens. If this is the case, just communicate with me. I will work with you. I can always hold onto your Plan-To-Go Deposit for a future vacation with you if you need to postpone. Depending on circumstances it can sometimes be refunded.
I understand that a lot of clients do some checking of prices and may continue to do so as I prepare your quotes. However, there are a LOT of “shiny, red objects” out there and it’s easy to get sucked in.
Please, do me a favor. If you find a better price, bring it to me and let me check it out. This way I can take a look into the details, tell you if it’s the exact same options, and assess if it is a true apples-to-apples comparison. Many times these "cheaper options" have horrible flight schedules (8 hour layovers) and the room type has a view of the garbage cans. So be sure to go through the motions and pick exactly the same options to see if they are just tricking you into thinking it's cheaper.
If it is in fact the same options for a cheaper price, communicate that with me and give me the opportunity to price match. 99% of the time I can do just that!
Unfortunately not. I can however enter your loyalty numbers into your reservation before you travel. If you want to use your points or rewards to pay for the flight or the hotel, you’ll have to book those yourself through your points programs.
I understand that life can throw us a curveball. Hello Covid!
I will do everything I can to accommodate you if life events force you to have to cancel or reschedule.
As most travelers know, many airlines and hotels do not refund, nor are we able to refund any cancellation fees if this happens. I strongly suggest having travel insurance added to your booking for this very reason. We can discuss insurance options and pricing during the quoting process.
Yes! I use a secure processing system that encrypts each card payment. Since it also doesn’t store your credit card information, I would need to have your credit card payment captured again for each booking.
Yes! If you have multiple people on one itinerary, or need to use different credit cards for different amounts, I can accommodate separate credit card payments.
Yes!
One of the best things about booking with a travel advisor is that we can accept payments on your booking.
How it works is that you'll need to pay a deposit (amounts vary) to book the reservation. Then you have a period of time until the final payment is due. Depending on how far out you book your trip, you could have several months to make payments towards your booking.
If you need a little extra help, there is also a company I work with that is basically a loan to pay for your travel plans, and then you can make payments to them according to their terms.
Yes, I will help you with flights if you are booking a vacation package with me. If you only need airfare and nothing else, I do not do those types of bookings.
There is too much liability with airfare only bookings, and the fact that they do not pay any commission to me for my time to book them and maintain them for you.
NOTE: I may make exceptions if you are a long time client, but there will be a fee for that service.
